Alan Hughes Talks Ireland AM’s 25th Anniversary

Ireland AM

Ireland AM is celebrating their 25th anniversary and veteran host Alan Hughes has described the show as like ‘family’ to him and has enjoyed being a part of the epic journey that has been a staple in Ireland.

Virgin Media Television has launched its new season schedule, which includes documentaries including Generation Rent, addressing Ireland’s housing crisis, and a documentary about the woman at the centre of Donald Trump’s controversial legal battles with Stormy Daniels, called Stormy.

Morning show Ireland AM will return as well, and is still going strong after 25 years.

“Ireland AM to me is a family,” Hughes said, according to the Irish Independent. “It’s been 25 years of pleasure and joy. It’s been great, I’ve loved every minute of it.”

Ireland AM is part of an exciting lineup that Anthony Nilan, director of programming at Virgin Media Television is thrilled to roll out: “We’re thrilled to launch a new season of programming that truly reflects the diversity, ambition, and creativity at the heart of our content” he said. “This lineup brings together bold new voices and familiar favourites across a range of genres, that will captivate and engage audiences, staying true to our role as a valued public service broadcaster for Irish viewers.”
